Autumn Term Newsletter Friday 8th December 2023
What a Week!
We started with talks from PC Sweatman to all in Years 7 – 11 about online safety. We had a tremendous performance from our girls on Tuesday at the U15 Midlands ISA on a wet and cold. Then the most fantastic Carol service on Thursday… I do not know how, year on year, Mrs Izod brings all the pupils together from challenging the most talented and most musical to including the reluctant ‘volunteers’ to have everyone included with such spectacular results. The Carol service was really special this year. Thanks to all who took part!
Then… The live Donkey in our Infants’ Nativity! Filmed by BBC Midlands Today and on Tonight! If you miss it then it will be available on the i-player for a week. The Nativity was brilliant and I was completely upstaged by both the real Donkey and by Elena and many others on the stage! With brave Pippa-Jo riding into the hall on a massive donkey!
To finish the week off – the Christmas fayre. My thanks to the parents committee for all their efforts and for rounding the week off in such a convivial fashion. So nice to have time to chat to parents and to see the children enjoying the Christmas stalls.
So the final week of term beckons. Lots going on. Please check the This Week (attached) and let’s hope for a smooth run in from now to the Christmas break…

News from the Prep School
We’ve had a lovely week in the Prep School. We are so proud of everybody and the hard work and effort that they have all put in to the Carol Concert on Thursday evening and the ‘Wriggly Nativity’ on Friday.
Next week we look forward to our final Christmas festivities on Wednesday. Pupils are invited to come to school wearing a Christmas jumper and donate £2 to go towards Shelter. We also have our Christmas dinner followed by Year 1 – 6 heading off to the Christmas Panto to see ‘ Jack and the Beanstalk.’ Please note that collection for these children will be 4.30pm.
Prep pupils should be collected from School by 3.00pm on Thursday.

Paris trip
The final payment of £140 is due today (8th Dec). Many thanks for those who have already paid – a gentle reminder for others. Please ensure that your child’s passport will be in date when we travel (22nd -25th March). For insurance purposes it is also essential that the children have their own valid Health Insurance Card. EHIC cards which are still in date are valid. These cards are being replaced by a new GHIC which is available free from the NHS and cards may be obtained online at;

Please avoid using other web-sites as they may charge for this free service.
Have a cracking weekend everyone!!
