Half Term effort Grades

100% grade A’s: 7 Pupils
90+% A’s 14 pupils
80+% A’s 14 pupils

Congratulations to the above.

There were however a record number achieving Grade As or Bs which is also highly commendable. So well done to all of those pupils. As I am oft heard to say “any pupil regardless of the academic ability, is capable of achieving all As for effort”

Open Week

32 families and potentially 37 pupil leads. We continue to work hard to show our school at it’s best. My thanks to Mrs Heaume for her hard work in organising but also to all of the pupils and staff who gave their time to show visitors around. We are very proud of our school and prospective parents have been very complimentary about the standards of behaviour and uniform but also of manners and the overriding ‘work ethic’ that pervades the school. Thank you to all.

Staff News

I am delighted to announce that Mrs C Mills will be taking over as the new Head of Art from September 2024.Joining us from Tudor grange Academy in Worcester, Mrs Mills is a highly experienced teacher who is very well though of in the Worcester Arts circles…We look forward to welcoming her in September.

News from the Prep School

What an exciting end to the half term we have had, with a very successful and enjoyable Olympic themed Curriculum Alive Day. We were thrilled to receive a personalised video message from Charlotte Dujardin – our GB equestrian Olympian. The children had great fun interviewing sports personalities, creating Ancient Greek wall art, making Olive leaf crowns and re-designing Gold medals. Thank you to all the staff for their enthusiasm.

This week our Star Pupils were:

  • N/R - Roux Moss for being kind and helpful.
  • I1 - Eretria Bolt for her Paddington Bear writing.
  • I2 - Elina Woodward for super maths skills when telling the time.
  • J3 - Megan Harris for working hard to improve her handwriting.
  • J4 - Beau Clarke for a brilliant Geography leaflet about Whitby.
  • J5 - Orla Dunne for an inspirational talk about Dyslexia.
  • J6 - Violet Williams for always trying her hardest,
Congratulations everybody.
After half term, from Tuesday 4th June, our Year 2 and Year 6 pupils will be consolidating their end of Key Stage studies with tests in Maths and English. It would be beneficial for Year 6’s to familiarise themselves with the revision sheets that their teachers have issued them with.
Have a lovely half-term holiday.
Mrs. Ridge

Lift Shares

We are looking for a lift share from Powick round a bout, Rushwick, Malvern, St John’s area. Please contact the office if interested.
But also any other parents interested in lift shares please do contact the office as we would like to reduce our carbon footprint, reduce traffic in the village and on the drive and reduce costs to parents where we can… please do think about a lift share, it can be pupils of different year groups/ages, it does not just have to be restricted to friends.

Have a good half term everyone…
