Thank you to Mrs Wheeler-Freeman and her PC team…and all the parent and pupil helpers. It was a wonderful atmosphere at our Summer Fete, the theme of ‘Fiesta’ aptly blessed by the weather!

The summer fete signifies the beginning of the end of term! Summer concert on Wednesday and then the Prep School Sports Day and Prizegiving on Friday, which is also Activity Day for the Middles and Seniors…

Art News
If you are looking for something to do this weekend, the Severn Arts Summer Festival takes place this Saturday 27th June from 10am and is a celebration of music, art, and creativity. It’s taking place in Worcester at The Guildhall, St Andrew’s Church and Cathedral Square and is a free family orientated day out for all ages.
Due to the end of term events and activities in the next 2 weeks, year 10 Art Club will not be running after school on Wednesdays. However, Tuesday lunchbreak clubs will continue as normal. I look forward to seeing you then!

🎵 Music Enews 🎵
It has been a very busy and exciting week in the Music Department, with many ensembles, soloists and bands practising in preparation for our Summer Concert next week. We are hoping that the heat will have subsided by then so that everyone can be more comfortable in the marquee!
Our Summer Concert will begin at 7:00pm on Wednesday 1st July. Instrumentalists are asked to arrive at 6:30pm to allow time for tuning and final preparation. All students should be seated and ready by 6:45pm.
There will be a full rehearsal during the school day on Wednesday 1st July. A rehearsal schedule has been created and distributed to students, with additional copies available from form tutors and on notice boards around the school.
At present, students are expected to wear full school uniform. However, we will keep this under review and communicate any changes depending on the weather.
We very much hope you will join us for what promises to be a fantastic evening, the children have been working incredibly hard, and we are sure you will enjoy the performance.
Final Rehearsals & Extracurricular Activities (Next Week)
Please take note of the following additional rehearsals:
- Upper Chamber Choir: Monday after school until 5:00pm (Schofield Building)
- Orchestra: Tuesday after school until 5:30pm
- Wind Group & Folk Group: Wednesday 1st July after 4:00pm
Music Stars of the Week
Huge congratulations to Elena Svancara, who has passed her Grade 2 Singing Exam with Distinction—a fantastic achievement of which we are all very proud.
Many thanks also to the Junior Samba Drumming Club and Mr Bootoon for their wonderful performance at the opening of the Summer Fete on Friday. I’m sure you will agree that the children delivered a vibrant and festive performance, setting the perfect tone for the afternoon.
Please note that Music Extra-curricular clubs will finish after the summer concert, thank you.
