Play rehearsals in full swing. Lots of sports fixtures. Plenty of laughter and learning!  Another busy week at Bowbrook!
In other news:

Annie Jr.

Our first technical rehearsal on Tuesday, which leads us into the last few weeks of rehearsals. We are really looking forward to seeing you on Saturday, where the full runs will include all props and costumes! As a reminder;
Saturday 24th January 10am-3pm: Full Cast, Tech and Backstage Crew for a Full Run. (9am-3pm for Tech Crew please). Could students please bring a packed lunch and drink.
Costumes should now be in school. If not, please bring any remaining items in a clearly labelled bag to the Saturday rehearsal.
 
Tickets are on sale now and are on a first come first served basis, so get your returns in as soon as you can! Everyone is welcome, so come and support your classmates and feel free to bring family and friends! A copy of the ticket letter is attached and is also available to take from outside the office.

French Department News: Calling all designers!

For all those going on the Paris trip, this is your chance to leave your mark on something everyone will wear and remember. We would like you to design the logo for the back of our trip hoodies.

The design must say “Paris 2026” and reflect a French theme.

News from the Prep School

Lots of fun activities going on in our classes this week including a conscience alley, baking, maths challenges, drama, exploring sound and counting birds as part of the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch. 🐦
 
Our Assembly this week was all about Resilience – bouncing back and saying I can’t do it YET.  We watched a super animation about Harry Kane and learnt about the resilience he has shown throughout his career.  He was rejected as an 8 year old by Arsenal football club.  His dad said to him, “We go again and work even harder!”  And he certainly did!

Our Stars of the week this week are:

  • N/R: Renee - for independence in changing for PE and forest school
  • 1/2: Felicity - for trying hard in all she does
  • 3/4: Elliot - for settling in so well to his new school
  • 5: Luca - for good participation in lessons
  • 6: Oakley - for producing a great script for his scene in our film
