Spring Term Newsletter Monday 22nd June 2026

Bowbrook Newsletter 2026

Parents This Week
Fixtures and Match Reports

There is an awful lot going on next week, not least School exams for Years 7 – 10. These need to be kept in perspective and all pupils need to understand that nerves, or feeling anxious is a perfectly normal reaction to tests or exams. Your teachers are there to help, guide, encourage and stretch in equal measure. Do your best, that is all we can ask.

With the school fete of Friday, we will all have the chance to relax and turn our attention to the end of year celebrations. The School Summer Concert, Prep School sports and Prizegiving, Activity Days to celebrate the end of year with your friends. The Senior School Speech Day and Prizegiving… Please do take note of the ‘This Week’ as it comes out and any ‘extra’ news letters that you might get!

Middle and Senior School Exam Week

Pupils will need to ensure they have all of the correct stationary as sell as a calculator and other equipment from the equipment list to be prepared for their exams next week.  Laptop users need to ensure they bring their laptop, with a charger and fully charged each day in order to be able to use it.  Thank you for your support with this and we wish them all the best of luck!

School Fete:
Last plea for all donations this week please

Plus: raffle tickets and money are to be returned to school by Thursday ahead of the fete on Friday.

Reminder:
School Photo Day – Tuesday 7th July

You must register BEFORE school photo day, so please register NOW by following the steps on the portal message sent on 8th June, thank you.

Ski Trip

We have had lots of interest in the ski trip from years 7 to 10.  The trip has enough to go ahead but there are a small number of spots remaining for any pupils in years 7,8,9 or 10 should they wish to join.  Please see Mr Mills for details.

Next Year!

Introducing a new opportunity for pupils who will be in Years 9, 10 or 11 next year!
In assembly Mrs Ford told pupils about the “Senior play” which will be taking place next year. Pupils who were interested were asked to come back for a short meeting and to register their interest. It was great to see a range of pupils across all 3 years wanting to find out more. If your son or daughter has expressed interest please look out for an audition form next week which will be sent via the engage parent portal. If your child missed the meeting and is interested in taking part please see Mrs Ford ASAP.

Auditions will take place after school on Thursday 10th September.
Rehearsals will take place Thursdays 4-5:30pm from September 17th.
There will be one Saturday rehearsal on 30th January.

The show choice is under deliberation – we wanted to gauge interest before making a final decision. If your son or daughter has expressed interest they should have been added to the Senior Play “Team” where they can vote on the 3 plays under consideration. This should be done by the start of next week.

A number of pupils have expressed an interest in helping out Backstage or with Tech.
We would like “crew” to begin their involvement from approx. October half term. Further details will be sent out to the parents of those who have expressed interest.
