Welcome back all!
Congratulations to Year 11 on successfully completing their Mock GCSEs. A necessary but nonetheless ‘stressful’ process which will stand them in good stead for later in the year. Don’t forget S11 Parents’ Evening next Thursday, 15th.
The pupils have returned on good form and on the whole, in good humour! Most have settled straight back into routines despite the unpredictable weather!
Next Friday, the 16th is an Open Day. If any parents are available between 10.30 and 11.30 to chat with prospective parents at the end of their tours or again at 2.30 to 3.30? Awkward time I know, but if anyone is able to help it is very useful to families looking round the school to speak with existing parents.
A busy start to the Spring Term and lots to look forward to. Only 4 weeks to ‘Annie’ !!

Art News
There are lots of exciting Arts opportunities to take part in this half term and students should listen and look out for notices over the coming weeks.
Good luck to the year 11 Art students whose Exam began this week. I look forward to seeing your ideas and explorations come to life!
KS4 Clubs will continue for year 10 and 11s from next week and will take place during Tuesday lunch and Wednesday from 4-5pm.
Old newspapers would also be gratefully received if you have any that you could donate.

Welcome back!!!! Rehearsals for next week are as follows:

Tickets for Annie Jr. are now on sale!!! Letters have been sent home with students and a copy is also attached. We can’t wait for you to come and see it!

Music News
Instrumental Lessons – Lessons began on Thursday this week and hopefully, all musicians should now have their individual timetable. Please ask your child to see me if they haven’t received their timetable. Guitar lessons will be beginning on Wednesday next week and timetables will be distributed at the start of the week. Mr McCreadie is kindly going to be taking Mr Jones’ lessons again for this half term.
If your child is interested in learning a new instrument, please ask them to see me for a letter.
Extra-Curricular – Folk Group, Orchestra and both Chamber Choirs will be paused for this half term to allow all to focus on our school play rehearsals as we approach our performances in February, These clubs will begin again after the half term. Wind Group, String Group and Junior Samba Club will still be taking place as usual. Please look out for a letter which has gone home with our Junior School regarding Samba Drumming Club this term. If your child would like a place, then please return the reply slip to myself or the office ASAP, thank you.
Other News: Congratulations to Isla Ferguson in Year 10 who has achieved a Distinction in her Grade 4 Singing exam; fantastic news! And again, Congratulations to Olivia Simpkin in Year 10 who has also received a Distinction for her Grade 5 singing exam, superb news! Very well done to both musicians!

News from the Prep School
Welcome Back!
It’s absolutely lovely to have the children back in school after the break! The classrooms are full of energy, and we’re excited for a busy and rewarding term ahead.
🎭 Annie Production
One of the highlights this term will be our Annie production, which promises to be a fantastic showcase of talent and teamwork. Rehearsals are already underway, and we can’t wait to share this special performance with you later in the term.

Our clubs are off to a flying start, offering a wonderful variety of activities for the children to enjoy and explore their interests:

In addition, we have the LAMDA sessions, which some of our Prep children have registered for.
