Art News
Thank you so much to everyone who viewed and enjoyed the GCSE Art Exhibition this week and congratulations to the year 10 and 11 students who showcased their achievements and successes in such a positive way.
A huge well done also to those students named on the Half term 6 Hall of Fame and to everyone who received Arts certificates and accolades in our end of term celebration assembly.

Waterloo won the House Arts Cup for 2026, with Max Brackenbury securing the highest individual number of Points throughout the year.
A hugely successful and exciting academic year in the Art Rooms, with so much more planned from September….. and 2027 is an Arts Week year! Can’t wait!!

🎵 Music Enews 🎵
Summer Concert
A huge congratulations to all of our performers and volunteers who took part in our Summer Concert last week. It was wonderful to share so much talent and musical progress with our school community, as well as to see many new students performing on stage for the very first time.
Today, many certificates have been awarded to recognise and celebrate the contributions of our students. Congratulations to our soloists, ensemble members, compères, technical team, stage hands, and everyone who has taken part in our extracurricular music clubs throughout the year.
A special thank you also goes to all those the Year 10 team who helped behind the scenes, both during the school day and on the evening of the concert, including those who welcomed guests and distributed programmes.
We are also extremely grateful to our peripatetic music teachers for their continued support, encouragement and commitment throughout the year. Thank you for everything you do for our students and the Music Department.
Outstanding Singing Examination Results
I am delighted to share with you some exceptional singing examination results. We are especially pleased to announce that every student entered for a singing examination achieved a Distinction. This is the first time that all candidates have received this high grade
- Annalisa Harris (Year 9) – Grade 3 Distinction
- Evan Gatehouse (Year 10) – Grade 4 Distinction
- Ruth Drakeley (Year 5) – Grade 3 Distinction
- Harriet Smith (Year 7) – Grade 2 Distinction
- Camilla McKay (Years 3) – Grade 1 Distinction
- Molly Darby (Year 5) – Grade 1 Distinction
- Olivia Simpkin (Year 10) – Grade 6 Distinction
- Isla Ferguson (Year 10) – Grade 5 Distinction
- Eleba Svancara (Year 3) - Grade 2 Distinction
Looking Ahead to September
As we look forward to another exciting year of music-making, please note that:
- Peripatetic music lessons will resume on Monday 7 September.
- Music extracurricular clubs and ensembles will begin on Monday 14 September.
Please look out for letters during the first week of term, which will provide information about the various music clubs and ensembles available and give students the opportunity to sign up.
We are also delighted to welcome Mr Komor to the Music Department. From September, Mr Komor will be teaching music across the Prep Department, working with both our Infant and Junior School pupils.
Many of you may already have met Mr Komor through our Carol Services at Pershore Abbey, where he has accompanied the school and choirs on both the organ and piano. Mr Komor is an outstanding musician and will be a fantastic addition to the Department.
We very much look forward to welcoming him and know that our students will enjoy learning and making music with him.
Congratulations once again to all of our musicians on an excellent year!
