S11 GCSE Business Walls Ice Cream Factory Visit

On Friday of this week the S11 Business group travelled down the M5 with Mr Mills to the Walls Ice Cream factory in Gloucester and were immersed into the world of big business, operations, health,  safety, production methods, HR and much more.  We were given a talk by some excellent individuals within the business and were informed of the history of Walls as well as the impacts  on this British business of Brexit, COVID, mergers and other world affairs. This was followed by a comprehensive tour of the factory which makes Magnum, Twister, Ben and Jerrys and many other favourites.   It was an excellent day which was made all the better by unlimited free ice cream!! Some took more advantage of others than this.  Not Mr Mills though, he only had 3….The Business group were engaged, engaging and were excellent ambassadors for the school throughout the trip.
