Professional Football Coaching
By Guy Griffiths of M7
Tony Daley was a professional footballer who played for Aston Villa, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Walsall.
He was a very fast winger who scored over 30 goals and he played seven times for England.
He started the session with some stretches and fun exercises to warm us up and then we went on to work with the ball. He put us into teams and we did some small games. Afterwards we went into a big match and it was 2-1 in the end.
Then we had some photos (which took some time!) then we all said thank you and good bye. It was great fun and we had a really good time, even the girls enjoyed it!
I would like to thank Tony Daley for coming in and inspiring the pupils. They enjoyed the session a lot.I also need to thank Mr Oliver for arranging the visit through his contacts. An enjoyable and educational session for which we are very grateful. Thank you to Guy Griffiths for his write up too!
