Prep School Councillors visit to Lord and Lady Colridge at Wolverton Hall!

Wolverton Hall
Our Prep School Councillors were treated to ‘elevenses’ at Wolverton Hall, invited by Sir Nicholas and Lady Georgia Coleridge.

As they were unable to attend our special Night at the Museum event, we took bits of the museum to them!
They were so kind in listening to our children talking about what they had learnt about and created in relation to their History topics:  World War 2, The Shang Dynasty, The Ancient Greeks, Old Toys and Transport and Local History.

Sir Nicholas was the Chair of the V&A Museum in London and is now the Provost of Eton College, as well as the Chair of the Royal Historical Palaces.  He really enjoyed talking to the children about their roles as curators in Bowbrook’s museum.

It was fascinating to learn more about Wolverton Hall and it’s history too.  Sir Nicholas treated us to a tour of the folly in the garden, which was designed by Quinlan Terry Architects and has won two awards.  Edith,11, said, “I loved climbing the tower in the garden and the food was delicious.”

Eretria,6, loved the food that Natasha had prepared for us and playing with Gus, the dog, and Max, 4, said he loved travelling on the brand new minibus being driven by Mr Allen, saying, “Mr Allen is a very good driver!”

We hope to welcome Sir Nicholas and Lady Georgia to some of our future events at Bowbrook.
