Paris in the Spring time!

Year 7 and 8 visit to Paris:

28 students from Years 7 & 8 spent the Easter weekend in Paris. The discomfort of the rather anti-social timing of the ferry crossing (1.00 a.m.!) was largley off-set by the exciting activities arranged on arrival at the accommodation on the outskirts of Paris. The pupils (and staff) took part in archery, climbing and an exhilarating and scary zip-wire ride.

Saturday saw an early start with a vist to the Eiffel Tower with most taking the opportunity to view Paris from the very top. This was followed by lunch on a baot cruising down the Seine as the major sights slipped by. Students climbed the steps to the Sacre-Coer before shopping in the artists’ market. After dinner our ever helpful driver, Gordon, treated us to a night-time tour of Paris.

Sunday was spent at Disneyland with Monday providing another opportunity to buy souvenirs at the hypermarket on the way home. The unfortunate weather caused a long and tiring trip home but everyone agreed that this was a trip to remember for all the right reasons.

Mr Whittingham.

My thanks go to Mr Whittingham, Mr Geisler and especially to Mr Clear and Mrs Heaume who both stepped in at the last minute. Staff gave freely of their holiday, their time, their energy and their humour and I am sure the pupils will have many happy memories of Spring time in Paris. Thank you staff!

Mr Allen.
