Oxbridge 2021. Congratulations Seb!
Please see below an email from a former pupil who arrived low in confidence and high in pent up anger in Year 4. His ‘journey’ is not untypical of our pupils. He left with a string of good GCSEs and an ‘A’ in further Maths (the top grade at the time) but more importantly he left with confidence and a sense of belonging and self-knowledge that has obviously stood him in good stead. Our ethos of inclusivity meant he had the opportunity to be in several school plays, school choir and school sports teams, he gave much to the school in his years with us…
From Sebastian Banfield. Leaver of 2019:

“Dear Mr Allen,
Sebastian Banfield. Leaver of 2019.
Hope you are well. I just thought that I would email you to let you know what I’ve been doing since I left Bowbrook. I recently received my A-level results and I achieved 4 A*s (in Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Further Maths.) In October, I am going to the University of Oxford to study Physics.
Thank you for everything that you and all my teachers taught me during my time at Bowbrook! I thoroughly enjoyed my 11 years here and I am still using the invaluable lessons that I was taught here today. Bowbrook definitely gave me the tools that I needed in order to achieve what I have done over the last 2 years.
I would be grateful if you would please pass my thanks onto my old subject teachers.
Kind regards, Seb.”
