OLD BOWBROOKIAN REUNION 25 JUNE 2025
1984
This is the top of an article in The Journal in 1984. Do you recognise anyone in the photograph? The full article can be read by taking the link below.
Along the Garden Path
We have received this email from Suzanne Earl with all the details:-
My brother sent me a link to this photo (The Journal, 31st May 1984) and I thought that you would be interested to know that the students in the photo are as follows:
Left to right:
Neil Wilson
William Lawrence
Simon James
Victoria Jolly (daughter of Mrs Janice Jolly, the teacher)
Beverley Gough
Suzanne Earl (now Wenczek)
The article was all a bit of a set-up as there was no way we would normally have been allowed to sit on the grass directly outside Mr Jackson’s office!
Although my brother, James Earl, did roll around there once in agony after getting stomach gripes from eating seven faggots at lunch time…
Thank you Suzanne!
WHERE ARE YOU NOW?
These photographs were taken sometime in the 1960s. If you were there, or can tell us who was, then we would be delighted to hear from you… We are always glad to hear from our former pupils!
Bill Limbrick writes:-
I don’t no why but I have just typed in my old school and no surprise – there you are still going strong.
I attended Bowbrook in the early sixties as a weekly boarder, and reached the giddy heights of vice headboy. I travelled to school by STEAM train from Moreton-in-Marsh to Pershore Station along with Robin Dale, Richard Sumner, Peter Smith. We were met at the station by taxi, a Ford Popular from Peopleton driven by Mr. Jarvis from the shop. It was quite a squash with four boys and the driver in such a small car.
If I can help and its not too late the 1960’s sports day have the following Teachers and pupils.
The relay race :-
Bearded teacher is Mr. Peter de-Sallis, teacher of English, Maths and Religion.
Teacher on the left holding the GUN is Mr. German.
Pupil on Mr. de-Sallis’s right holding the tape is Phillip Jones.
Pupil about to start looking at Mr. German, or the gun, could be my brother Roy.
Thanks, Bill!
ANYONE FOR CRICKET?
The picture opposite was taken around 1960; the lady, third left in the front row with her pads on, is Mrs Barrett’s mother, the boy on the fence in the background is her brother. Does anyone else have any recollections of this day?
Cricket: School V Old Boys - 2009
Another hard-fought game, which the School won – again!
FOOTBALL: SCHOOL V OLD BOYS
An exciting match saw the Old Boys come through by 3 goals to 1.
Were you there?
December 2nd 1969 – staff and pupils perform ‘Princess Ida’ at the Swan Theatre, Worcester. If any one can shed more light on the picture or give us any names of the staff and pupils involved we would be delighted to hear from you!

Pupils Past and Present
The school and we are sure some of you would like to hear from any past or present pupils that attend or have attended the school. We are trying to contact anyone that has attended Bowbrook House School to make a database of everyone’s details. We envisage a forum being set up where past pupils can leave messages for other pupils or staff.
At the moment we have three events that past pupils are invited to take part in:
OLD BOWBROOKIANS GOLF DAY
THE OLD BOYS CRICKET MATCH
THE OLD GIRLS ROUNDERS MATCH
Former pupils are always welcome to contact the school for particulars of the above events or just to keep in touch.
If you would like to take part, please e-mail us using the link below, and we will let you have further details as and when they are available.
