National ISA Recognition Again!

National ISA Awards:

Runner up twice last year in two categories at the National ISA Awards Dinner…Bowbrook House School has gone one better this year. Nominated and finalists in 3 categories…Yes THREE categories. Staff were very proud on the night of our achievement and of this recognition on the national stage.

Bowbrook was a finalist in 3 categories and runner up in one:

The ISA Senior School Award for excellence and innovation in Provision.

Sponsored by Southampton University the judges are looking for excellence and/or innovation in pupil outcomes. Mrs Harfield has coordinated this bid and it is based on our Maths results at GCSE over the last seven years. We were runners up this year. That places us in the top 1% of ISA schools Nationally.

ISA Award for Alternative Provision:

The judges are looking for the school that demonstartes a flexible approach to their curriculum and provision. Including innovative learning environments. Mrs Farr and Mrs Heaume have put this bid together citing our flexible curriculum, a range of options at GCSE for candifates going for 10 A*s to those concentrating on passing six or seven good GCSEs. The individual support and flexible approach will hopefully win us this award. We were one of three shortlisted schools in this category.

ISA Award for IT innovation:

Sponsored by HP. Mr Ansty has put together a bid which highlights his NPQSL study on outcomes for children and staff when ICT is used to support and enhance the learning environment. Again we were shortlisted and therefor in the top 3 nationally.

My thanks of course go to all staff who put bids together and whose work is recognised at this pretigious event. We shall continue to strive to achieve our best individually and when compared nationally.

Bowbrook House school was the only school to be shortlisted in 3 categoreis. Bowbrook was the only school to leave the ceremony with 3 certificates and we were the only school from the Midlands region to be represented at the national Awards ceremony. Well done everyone. So very proud of you all!
