March 9th Snow Update

Dear Parents,

We are currently running at nearly 90% attendance today and so it is very much ‘business as usual’ although Mrs Brookes was at the centre of a snowball fight first thing this morning on the playground!

We will offer form rooms at short break and at lunchtime for those who do not want to go out but I am sure many will want to. They will, within reason be allowed to ‘play’ in the snow provided they have changed into their games kit.

School will finish at the normal time. If you choose to collect earlier, please inform the office beforehand so that pupils can be made ready and so that lessons will not be disrupted.

For absent pupils: Staff will make work available (not in ‘real’ time but when they have a chance during the day) Their responsibility will be to teaching their lessons as normal. They will then make work available either by posting on Teams or by emailing pupils who are absent to allow them to keep up with today’s lessons. So pupils please keep an eye on emails and on Teams as work will come home at some point today, I am sure.

With rain moving in from the south-west and with temperatures of 3 or 4 degrees tomorrow, I think we are past the worst of it today. Let’s hope so.
