Dramatic Success!
Wind in the Willows is over…but the memories will last a lifetime!
The tabs closed on the fourth Full House, the applause ended and the cast dispersed as the melodious ‘Life of Luxury’ rang in our ears. As badger sings: ‘It takes all sorts to make a world’ Bowbrook had the right ingredients from all departments, form Nursery to Year 11. Mrs Wood was one very proud, and very tired, director!

Mr Allen, Headmaster would like to than everyone concerned for making this one of Bowbrook’s finest productions. To ALL pupils who played any part, speaking or non-speaking, front of house, backstage, onstage…to all teaching and non teaching staff…Thank You. Wind in the Willows was a huge success and has ‘raised the bar’ in terms of what has to follow. It was always Mrs Wood’s intention to give the children and the parents a ‘professional’ theatre experience. From auditions to rehearsals it was run along professional lines. Pre show drinks, numbered seating, ushers and after show party…It was a resounding success and showcased the many talents on stage and off that Bowbrook has in its midst.
To all pupils, staff and of course supportive parents, I would like to send a heartfelt Thank You! As a Headmaster it fills me with pride to see what can be achieved when the whole school community comes together.
To Toad, Badger, Rat and Mole and our excellent Narrator: Congratulations, you put in many hours of work and deserve the recognition. However their were many who impressed and who ‘grew’ as their performances added to this wonderful production.
Wind in the Willows may well have come to the end of its run, but the meories will last a lifetime.
