French Exchange - desperate appeal!
Thank you to all the families who have offered to host a French student from 24th-28th March next year.
So far, we have found a place for 15 students. There are 18 students who would like to visit us. We therefore desperately need another three hosts. It would be such a shame if the exchange doesn’t work for the sake of three more places.
Please reply to Mr Whittingham on the attached letter if you could help.
Carol Service
7.00 pm start.
Instrumentalists arrive at the abbey: 6.15pm. All other students by: 6.45pm
We look forward to seeing many of your there for what is always such a wonderful occasion!
During the day on Thursday, all involved will be rehearsing at the Abbey. We would appreciate students arriving at school on time so that we may leave promptly.
Those not at the Abbey in the evening will remain at school. We have very few students not going from years 3 to 9 which is excellent. Thank you.
If there are any late changes please let your child’s tutor know so we can plan appropriately, although we hope that there won’t be any changes.
What a busy Prep School!

Ann, from HSBC, did some really engaging workshops in all our classes. We then had a quiz to answer and received our very special award from the bank – we have learnt about budgeting, opening bank accounts, planning parties, money and more!
Well done to our Stars of the Week this week from Prep School. They are:
- Infants - Isabelle - for increased resilience
- Y3 - Elena - for super singing in her Carol Service solo
- Y4 - Ariel - for being kind and helpful during the HSBC visit
- Y5 - Rory J - for brilliant Nativity practise singing
- J6 - Jemimah - for being a super buddy to Isla
A big thank-you to Mrs Rush for coming into Year 6 this afternoon and reading the poem, A Martian Sends A Postcard Home by Craig Raine. It was followed by a fun activity where the children had to match the visuals to the stanzas.
Just a reminder for jars of sweets donations for Year 5 stall at the Christmas fair.
Also we have some slots available to meet Father Christmas in his grotto at the Christmas Fair – get in quick! Email lisa.mao@bowbrookhouseschool.co.uk to book your slot!
Also any more Nativity tickets – please email your class teacher asap if you are coming. The whole of Prep are involved – Years 3 to 6 are the choir and Infants are the actors on stage.
Finally, if you wish to come along tomorrow to our Family Art morning from 10am please do email sally.white@bowbrookhouseschool.co.uk to let us know.
