Athletes? No – ‘Math-letes!
UK Junior Maths Challenge Results 2014:
Congratulations to all the pupils in Year 8 who took part in the very difficult UK maths challenge.
240,000 entries across the country. The Junior maths challenge is well known to be extremely challenging to all who participate and is aimed at the top 33% of pupils in year 8 across the country.
Roughly 6% of those students will achieve a Gold Certificate, the next 13% a Silver and the next 21% a Bronze.
This year’s results were very pleasing and ALL who took part should be congratulated for their efforts and for their results.
Daniel fellows was not only a Gold Certificate winner but also Best in School! Pyers easton, James Webster, Nick Jones, Megan Evans and Joseph Allan were all Silver winners. (Pyers would like it pointed out that he was only 1 mark off a Gold!) Zac Parsons was awarded a Bronze certificate.
