Bowbrook School Raises over £500 for Acorns Hospice
Worcester 10K Pitchcroft Run and Acorns Charity Run
Bowbrook School was delighted to sponsor the Worcester 10K Pitchcroft Run and Acorns Charity Run organised by Worcester Athletics Club, which took place on 15th July at Worcester Racecourse.
Despite taking place in the midst of the World Cup combined with the extreme heat, the event attracted an excellent turnout, with many runners completing the course in record times.
The Acorns Charity Fun Run was also a great success, bringing together the younger runners to raise money for a very worthwhile cause. We were delighted to hear that the club was able to donate £544 to Acorns, helping to support the charity’s vital work with children and families across the region.
Bowbrook School was proud to have a visible presence throughout the evening, with our signage displayed at both the start and finish lines, as well as on the runners’ race bibs and medal ribbons.
It was a fantastic community event and one that Bowbrook was particularly proud to support. Sponsoring the races provided a wonderful opportunity for us to demonstrate our commitment to Worcester and the local community, while supporting an event that brings people together through sport and charity.
