Year 9 International Art Success
Science Without Borders
This week, Max Brackenbury (Y9) has submitted his entry to the international science/art competition ‘Science Without Borders’, for which the theme this year is ‘Microscopic Marine Life’. He has undertaken many hours of meticulous work to compose a superb piece entitled “‘Kings’ of the Ocean, highlighting the interdependence between the traditional ‘king’ of the ocean – the shark, and the frequently overlooked ‘king’ – Dinoflagellate Phytoplankton. We wait to hear news on how Max’s entry progresses through the competition and wish him the best of luck.

Last Year Max was ‘Highly Commended’ for a beautiful piece of work to the 2025 Science Without Borders international competition. He has done it entirely in his own time. Last Year’s theme of ‘Marine Keystone Species’, and writing an explanatory statement. A huge amount of work and all undertaken in his own time as ‘extension’ work.
George represented Bowbrook House School and was selected alongside 3 other players from Malvern RFC where he has been part of the youth section from under 6’s.
Competing against teams from Shropshire, Greater Birmingham, and Herefordshire, the festival showcased some outstanding rugby.
