What an amazing achievement

 Juniors did so well in the National England Rocks competition – 

The online Times tables Rock Stars competition: 
2nd Nationally and 
1st in Worcestershire!  
 
Fantastic results – well done all!

Art Room News

Key Stage 3 art club continues on Monday lunchtime, where students will be busy creating the tree decorations for the festival of trees, as well as helping to paint the set of the prep school nativity.

GCSE Art club next week takes place on Monday and Thursday from 4-5pm and Tuesday lunchtime. There is an additional workshop on Tuesday from 4-6.30pm. Please return your reply slips to Mrs. Mills to confirm that you are able to come along and to make sure I buy enough biscuits for everyone!

News from the Prep School

The children did a super Assembly this week all about reading.  They told us lots of facts about the benefits of reading – how it helps with stress levels etc and recommended several of their favourite books to us all!  Well done J5! 
 
Charlotte, from the Dog’s Trust, came in to talk to all the children in Prep about how to stay safe around dogs with the help of her trusted friend Benny, the black labrador cuddly.

J3 had a super trip to Malvern Cinema, where they watched the film Inside Out 2.  This linked fabulously to the work in PSHE all about feelings.   The children were very excited to have an ice-cream treat whilst there!
 
J6 had a visit from Miss Walley.  She delighted the children by reciting Sonnet 116.  The children then wrote a class sonnet, clapping out the iambic pentameter rhythm.

  • Infants - Emily - 100% effort in Nativity practise
  • Year 3 - Elina - for making kind and sensible choices
  • Year 4 - Eva - for working with pride in all that she does
  • Year 5 - Aadil - for superb effort and score in England Rocks competition
  • Year 6 - Will - for being in 1st position in Worcestershire on our England Rocks day
