We have written to Mary Berry, Paul Hollywood and Nadiya Hussain … But wondered if anyone was ‘connected’ to give us some leverage! Please do let Mrs Mao know as we would love a guest appearance at our Infants’ Nativity; ‘Bethlehem bake-off’ !

Infants Initiative

We have just launched our Stay and Play sessions (on our socials), which will begin on Wednesday, 6th November at 9.30am for parents and their toddlers. There are five sessions – and the final one will have a special visitor in his grotto! We’ve had a super response so far – there are a few spaces available so do tell family and friends.

More from the Prep School

It’s s very exciting half term for us, with Infants beginning their Nativity rehearsals! 🎄We had a lovely Music Assembly, organised by Mrs Izod. The children learnt a song called Something Spooky to sing 🎵 to her too as a surprise! The Dog’s Trust are coming in to talk to us about staying safe around dogs, a panto has been booked and we are getting an award from HSBC after completing our money workshops we have planned!

A huge thank-you to our parents for organising a super Halloween 👻 disco!!

Did we mention the Panto? Oh yes we did!!

Music news

Welcome back to a busy and exciting term in the music department! As we move closer to December, please could all students now give full attendance to music extra-curricular activities so that all feel confident and secure with their parts and are present to support each other.

Instrumental Lessons – Instrumental lessons begin next week (violin lessons have already started) and timetables should be going home with students today. Please let me know if your child has not received theirs. Several students in the middle school have not always been attending their lessons. Please could we ask for your support here in ensuring that they have written down the dates and times of their lessons in their planners for each week.

Prep School News: Mr Booton will be beginning his Junior Samba Drumming Club again this half term. Please look out for letters going home in the Junior School. If your child is keen to join this half term, then please return the reply slip to me ASAP; the first session begins on Thursday next week.

Other News: A big thank you to our violin teacher Mr Neville who gave an exciting showcase of the violin to the prep school this week. It was so wonderful to hear him play and see the children wholly engaged. Instrumental letters are currently with class teachers if your child is interested in beginning to learn. We have several school violins which we are happy to lend for taster sessions or whilst the children are beginning. Please feel free to contact me.
