Congratulations Cameron John – ISA National Skiing Gold Medallist

On Monday 25^th September, Bowbrook sent two skiing teams down to the ISA National skiing championships taking place in Hemel Hempstead. With the school finishing in a final place of 7^th out of 19 teams in the final team placings, individual success came to the school through year 9 student Cameron John. Showcasing his experience from skiing competitively outside of school, Cameron finished in a gold medal position, finishing the skiing course quicker, and with less faults, than other competitors on the day. Making his victory more impressive, is the fact that he was also skiing against others that were in age categories above him in the U16’s age bracket, where he also regularly competes, challenging himself to ski at the highest level he can. All of us at Bowbrook are very proud of Cameron’s achievements and the way that he represented the school, in line with our ethos, working with pride.
