500 tins in record Harvest!
The school lived up to a challenge from Mr Allen by managing to collect 500 tins for its annual Harvest festival. All the tins have been taken to the Maggs Day Centre in Worcseter, a centre that provides for the homeless and the hungry on the streets of the city.
The total was reached in this morning’s assembly and is a new record. Mr Allen said “I am very proud of the children for rising to this challenge, to them and to the generosity of their parents. This years donation is one of our best and I know the Maggs Day centre will be very grateful too.”
It had appeared that we would fall just short as the total reached 497 in this mornings assembly. Then late entries from three Year 9 pupils meant that we got there – just. Thank you everyone. A really special harvest this year.
